Getting caught up with life

Well, it's been over two years since I posted. I kept telling my self to update my blog, but when I got around to it, I couldn' remember my user name and password. I also started using Facebook more to communicate with friends and family. The one thing that remains constant in my life, is that I'm still hiking almost every Saturday.

Summer Hiking 2009

This Summer Starting in June My dad and I have been hiking around to several waterfalls starting in Utah County. I found a website called http://www.utah.com/hike. It has been so much fun to find hikes around here. Our first was Timponogos Hike, which was up American Fork Canyon. It was 1 mile long. Our second, was Battle Creek Falls in the town of Pleasant Grove. Again it was short and not as spectacular. but fun. The third was Dry Creek Falls up Alpine Canyon. That was close to four miles round trip. That was difficult for me and we had to share the trail with horses. The fourth, was Bell Canyon in Sandy, on Wasatch Blvd. That was again four miles round trip. The fifth, was Donut Falls, up ( Big or Little Cotton Wood Canyon) I can't remember the different between the two. This was short, but we tried running the whole way. The cool part here is that while were were running we saw a moose. He was more afraid of us. He was 30 feet from us. I think out of most of the days it has been cloudy and overcast. That makes for the best hiking days of the summer. I am starting to enjoy it. I love the scenery.

50 First Dates Challenge

In High School I would ask out guys if I needed to find a date. I had guts. That was ten years ago. Time passed and I figured that guys should be the ones to ask girls out, but it hasn't really been succeeding. I haven't been on very many dates lately. In the past year, I have bee on....maybe one date and that was probably a blind date. Yes I know pathetic. You don't need to point it out. So here is a challenge for myself get a second date nomatter howmany first bad dates I go on. I am guessing that will be around firty first dates. I will do the asking or if any of my kind friends out there feel up to it they may set me up on a blind date. This does challenge me cause I haven't asked out a guy in a long time. It really is difficult for me to ask guys out. Its the feeling of rejecting that sucks. I am hoping I will get over that. don't worry I will write about each of the stories and rejections. This challenge starts in the next three weeks.

St. Patricks Day Cookies for FHE

I have started really enjoy cooking. Especially baking sweets. so I volunteered to make cookies with a friend. What I didn't know is that my sister-in-laws batch makes that much dough. We baked alot of cookies. close to 50, but they were delicious. This was my friend Kate's frist time making sugar cookies. It was fun.

Easter Tradition

My family has many traditions. I could go on about several of them. Easter is a favorite. Everyone is always involved. Down to the meals we eat, or the easter egg hunt we have. We all have a blast. I have no idea when it started or why, but I would say close to 20 years (You can post if I am wrong on that) we have had an Easter egg hunt with plastic eggs that have money coins. Sometimes 20 dollars in them or sometimes two pennies. This year everyone was here on April 12Th. my younger brother and parents hid close to 150 eggs around our neighbors yard and ours for neices and nephews to find. Of course that required help from parents. There were two eggs with 20 dollars in them. They stumped even the adults. Adam found one egg with a twenty and Nathan the other. We also frosted sugar cookies and sang Happy Birthday to mom with cupcakes Stacy and Brandon made. Overall it was fantastic. We also had a big dinner. Top it off with some Guitar Hero for some competition and call it great!

I'm Bella

I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

I am a Twilight fan, and got this quiz off of my friends blog. That was really fun to see the results I hope to hear from some of you. I thought it was pretty accurate about my personality. Twilighters anonymous said this "You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone".
