New York Baby... What a Place!

Most of my family knows that I was heading to New York City for my Birthday. (Which almost didn't happen because my mom was trying to back out). Can you imagine me in NY, Manhattan all bymyself.. Yeah not gonna happen. It all started because I actually found a Musical that I had to go see, yes I am admitting that I wanted to see Legally Blonde: The Musical. However its last show was October 19, 2008. I went to New York, October 28. So I got over my shock and saw 3 other muiscals. Some at discounted prices because we told the genteman ticket salesman that it was my birthday that evening so we saw Hairspray for $65 a ticket. Amazing! We also went and saw Wicked, and Jersey Boys. We were told that Jersey Boys was supposed to have all these awards and the music be amazing, but my mom and found the language to be horrible, so we walked out. My favorite was Wicked!

The morning of my Birthday October 29, 2008, (which this year I accidentally told someone it was October 28) I think I am getting old; we went to the Manhattan Temple. Yay.

Me waiting in line for a ferry to take us to the statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a long line that day. I am glad we went, my mom hadn't gone since she was 16 years old and last time I was in New York they wouldn't let us becuase it was too soon after 9-11.

Last week I just finished the fourth book of twilight and I can hardly wait for the movie to come out. It's not untill December. If you haven't read the books yet, I would suggest reading them.

Thank Heavens for dads....... who bring Tennis Shoes

Some of you may know that I work at a Vetrinarian Clinic as their receptionist in Alpine. Some of my responsibilities include scheduling appointments, taking messages for the doctor, and taking care of the dogs or cats on the weekends. Occasionally I will come home with stories about the animals. About a month ago I had one such story about a dog named Meiko. As I recall it was July and a Saturday and I wore Flip flops to work (big mistake). Meiko, who is a Mastiff bread, loves to bite your toes after she is done going to the bathroom. That day I had to call for reinforcements (my dad) to survive the rest of the day) He brought me my tennis shoes. Yah for dad!

Meiko ! Trying to chase a car.

As luck would have it she was coming back to be boarded for two whole weeks! I learned my lesson and wore tennis shoes every day. However this time I took pictures. I had help from two girls running the snoasis shac in our parking lot. Thanks to them for these two shots of Meiko chewing on my toes.

3 seconds later she is trying bite my toes. No joke.
I really do like this dog. she actully licks my face once I get her in the cage.

Yay it came!

My digital SLR Canon Rebel XTI camera. I have been waiting for it for weeks. My parents say I have been stocking the package in the mail. I say, I was just making sure it arrived safely. It is so amazing. I don't really know how to take picture of that camera. This is a picture I took with my new camera and lenses.

Nick names

The other day my brother (Adam )complained that extended family was calling him skadds. It was a pretty ingenious Nickname for him however we have never called him that growing up and he thinks he is way too old for the nicknames now being 23 and all. However i still get called Hibbs and I am 27, and actully still like being called that. I guess it's just a personal thing. so my question to all you fellow friends of blogging is; what are your past nicknames you have had, which ones do you hate, and which ones do you stick have now? please send your comments.

Guitar Hero III

I wrote earlier about getting a Guitar Hero III for the Nintendo Wii, and that I would post some pictures when I finally got them. This picture is funny because my cousin called me at work and asked when I was getting home just so we could play Guitar Hero. We played for atleast two hours it would have been longer for me, but I went on a blind date later that evening.

Mission Reunion

I recently attended my mission reunion after being home for over four years. There were maybe four or five that I knew and that I served with. Thankgoodness we put on those silly nametags because after four years I could only remember some of their names and it is quite humiliating asking them again. This is a picture of me and my mission Presiden Evans.

April Fools

No one played any jokes on me this year. I did want to log on and report that my family got together and did go bowling. we do it every other month. We do it so often, that we don't take pictures any more.
However, Our new hobby is the guitar hero for Wii. That is alot of fun. I haven't had time to take pictures yet, and I am still on easy. We did find time to buy a second guitar so that we don't have to share anymore. quite ironic. So instead here is the bowling for Wii.

Love Neices and Nephews

This past week was my neices birthday. Addison turned six. Every time Hannah Montana turned on the t.v. she would start singing the songs, and so I thought it would be great to take her to the Hannah Montana Concert slash movie. When I got there the movie tickets were $15 each. I couldn't very well, tell her we were leaving, so we stayed. And she loved it. Later that night I get these two videos on my cell phone from her mom. It explains all her excitement. I love being an aunt, and seeing the kids. The little funny moments. Are a hute!

Her younger brother loves to do everything she does. Here is Parks' version of Hannah Montana.

Wii Popularity

I received the Nintendo Wii for Christmas 2007, with sports games, and have been learning to play it since.

This is my mom and dad playing. We laughed at how close my mom got to the T.V. As if the T.V wasn't big enough. She thought it was helping the closer she got to the T.V.
